Our Commitment to Quality, Compliance & Food Safety

At African Meals and Snacks (AMAS), we believe that great food begins with trust, responsibility, and a commitment to doing things the right way. As a growing food and hospitality company, we take pride in operating with professionalism, transparency, and the highest standards of business and food safety compliance.

AMAS is a fully registered business operating in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements. We have completed our business registration with the Washington State Secretary of State, obtained our Employer Identification Number (EIN) from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and are registered with the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) with an active Unified Business Identifier (UBI) number.

We maintain all required business licenses for the cities and jurisdictions where we provide services and continue to work closely with local authorities to ensure we meet all operational requirements as we grow.

Food Safety & Health Department Partnerships

Food safety and customer well-being are among our highest priorities. AMAS is committed to following all applicable food safety regulations and maintaining strong working relationships with local health authorities, including:

  • Snohomish County Health Department
  • Seattle & King County Public Health
  • Pierce County Health Department

We value collaboration with health officials and remain committed to ongoing compliance, proper food handling practices, and continuous improvement in our operations.

Licensed Commercial Kitchen Operations

As part of our commitment to safe and professional food preparation, AMAS conducts its catering operations through licensed commercial kitchen facilities. Our current food preparation and production activities are supported through our partnership with the Carl Gibson Center Commissary Kitchen in Everett, providing us with access to an approved commercial food preparation environment that meets the standards required for professional food service operations.

Through these partnerships, we are able to prepare, store, and manage food safely while maintaining the quality and authenticity of the African cuisine we proudly serve.

Insurance & Professional Standards

AMAS maintains general business liability insurance and takes proactive steps to ensure that our operations, customers, partners, and event hosts are protected. We understand the importance of accountability when serving the public and are committed to meeting or exceeding the expectations of our customers, community partners, and event organizers.

Our Promise

From our kitchen to your table, AMAS is committed to providing authentic African cuisine prepared with care, professionalism, and respect for food safety standards. Whether serving at community events, private celebrations, corporate gatherings, or future restaurant locations, we are dedicated to creating a trusted food experience where customers can enjoy great meals with confidence.
